Play a full game against a friend on the same device — no login, no engine running while you play, just a real board. When the game ends (or either side resigns, or you agree a draw), send it straight into Stockfish 18 analysis to see exactly where the game turned.
Play mode is meant to feel like playing on a real board with a friend, not like having an engine looking over your shoulder move by move. If you want live evaluation while you play, use Explore mode instead.
Not yet — Play mode currently works for two people on the same device. Remote play with a shareable link is planned.
Checkmate, stalemate, and draws by repetition or insufficient material are detected automatically. You can also manually declare a resignation or an agreed draw. Either way, one click sends the finished game into full Stockfish analysis.
